Solar Installation Cost in Metro Manila: Compare the Whole Quote

Comparing solar prices in Manila? Use a complete quote checklist covering equipment, roof work, approvals, battery backup and after-sales support.

A search for solar installation cost in Metro Manila usually means you are close to asking for quotations. The useful answer is a complete, property-specific price with clear inclusions. A panel-only advertisement cannot tell you what a safe, operating system on your roof will cost.

Use this guide to request comparable offers for a Manila home. It is a quotation framework, not a current price list or a promise that a particular package fits your address.

Decide what the quotation is buying

Write one sentence describing the job: reducing daytime grid purchases, supporting essential circuits during brownouts, or both. Then list the appliances and their usual operating times. A savings-led grid-connected design and a backup-ready system answer different needs; comparing their totals without that distinction creates a misleading price contest.

For a household in Manila, Pasig or Makati, include access to the roof and the proposed equipment location. Supply safe photographs and approximate roof dimensions if available. Let the installer confirm measurements and suitability rather than treating a satellite image as the final design.

Use advertised prices as dated reference points

On 27 September 2026, Beyond Power Asia’s homepage advertised a 6 kW hybrid package at ₱374,000, listing ten 625 W panels, a Deye 6 kW hybrid inverter and 16 kWh storage. [3] That is one seller’s advertised offer, not a market average, a verified stock position or a Lightning Energy quotation. Confirm tax treatment, site exclusions and the current written scope directly before comparing it with another proposal.

This example shows why the equipment schedule matters: ten 625 W panels total 6.25 kWp of rated array capacity, even though the package name uses the 6 kW inverter size. A different battery or roof scope changes the comparison. Keep the advertisement’s date and inclusions beside its price rather than treating the headline as a universal installed budget.

What belongs in a solar quote. Equipment: Exact panel, inverter and battery models. Installation: Mounting, protection, access and electrical work. Completion: Approvals, commissioning and handover.

Separate array size, inverter power and storage

Ask for three separate figures: solar-array capacity in kWp, inverter output in kW and battery storage in kWh. The US Department of Energy distinguishes storage energy capacity from delivery power; those are different constraints. [1] An offer labelled simply “10 kW solar with battery” leaves important questions unanswered.

A fictional comparison might put a 5 kW inverter beside either a modest or a larger battery. The inverter label alone does not reveal backup duration. Ask for usable storage, the approved battery model and the circuits included in the backup design.

Put every cost in the same comparison sheet

Create rows for panels, inverter, storage, roof attachments, electrical protection, wiring, labour, access equipment, documentation and commissioning. Add separate columns for tax treatment, delivery, exclusions and provisional allowances. Request a written explanation for every blank cell.

Consider two illustrative offers with the same headline total. One includes the electrical-board work found during inspection; the other marks it “by owner”. They are different purchases even before you discuss brands. Request the revised total after the site survey, and identify which future discoveries could change it.

Three numbers, three different jobs. kWp: Solar-array rating. kW: Power available at a moment in time. kWh: Energy stored or used over time.

Assign approvals and utility tasks

For the net-metering route, Meralco lists application and inspection documentation, including a Certificate of Final Electrical Inspection. [2] Ask the proposer to confirm the pathway for your installation, the current requirements and who completes each task. Own-use arrangements need their own current utility guidance.

Keep utility charges, local-government charges and contractor administration fees on separate lines. Ask which amounts are fixed, estimated or reimbursed at actual cost. This makes it easier to reconcile receipts later and avoids assuming that the word “permits” includes every step through energisation.

Compare the savings assumptions alongside the price

Have both installers use the same recent electricity history and household schedule. Request estimated generation, direct household consumption, storage use and exports separately. Record the electricity tariff date and the treatment of losses. A large predicted saving should lead to a closer examination of assumptions, not an automatic purchase.

An illustrative home occupied mainly in the evenings may value backup even when daytime self-consumption is limited. Ask for a solar-only option and a storage option using the same starting information. That shows the incremental cost of the battery and the specific service it buys.

Agree on acceptance and service before payment

List the handover documents: final equipment schedule, warranties, monitoring access, approved operating settings and the contact for a fault. Ask how the backup function will be demonstrated if it is included. Specify who resolves roof-related and electrical issues and how travel or replacement labour is charged.

Send Lightning Energy Philippines your municipality, bill history and backup priorities to request an assessment. The team should confirm service availability and site requirements before you rely on an installation date. Keep the final written scope with your payment milestones so the delivered system can be checked against the offer.
